Cookie Policy
Last updated: Aug 20, 2026
TextPatrol keeps client-side storage deliberately minimal. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics cookies. This page lists everything the app stores in your browser and why.
1. What we store in your browser
The app uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) for the following items:
- theme — remembers your light/dark mode choice.
- i18nextLng — remembers your interface language.
- auth — your session tokens (access and refresh) after you log in, so a page reload keeps you signed in.
- guest-client-id — a random anonymous identifier used in guest mode to count free tool runs (see the Privacy Policy for details).
- guest-tool-runs — the counter of free runs used in guest mode.
- gallery — a local list of files you uploaded, kept in your browser because the server does not track your upload list.
2. Why this storage is used
Everything above is strictly functional: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and making guest mode work. None of it is used for advertising or shared with third parties for marketing.
3. Managing storage
You can clear these items at any time through your browser settings (clear site data). Doing so signs you out, resets your theme and language preferences, and — in guest mode — resets your anonymous identifier, which also removes our ability to link earlier guest activity to a future account.
4. Changes and contact
If we add new storage or cookies (for example, if we ever introduce analytics), we will update this page first. Questions: privacy@textpatrol.pro.
